Nowadays layered composite materials made of PET (polyethylene terephthalate) and aluminium foils are not only used successfully in the packaging industry. In the meantime such composite materials are also to be found in photovoltaic and other high-tech applications.

Despite its aluminium foil, composite packaging can be cut or scored easily, accurately and cleanly using laser. Product and packaging designers as well as the food industry with small batch production runs are today exploiting these benefits. Trial offers or changing product batches demand flexibility.
